Friday was my last day in room service, and Soos and I got to work together so of course pictures in our silly outfits had to happen :)

After work, Mickayla, Stephanie and I went the cinema to see Insidious 3 (it was amazing!) and since we didn't have anything going on early, I got to sleep in, which was heavenly! Saturday we got to go to the Magic Fountains, a park that is full of different beautiful fountains.

Our favorite was the fountain that sprayed water at random times, and everyone had to try and race into the middle before you got soaked. I managed to stay mostly dry, but some weren't so lucky. It was absolutely hilarious to watch everyone around us try and make their way to the middle!

But we made it!

We had such a fun night - the fountains were breathtakingly beautiful.

Afterward, we got to go to dinner at Mangos Restaurant in Larco Mar. I wish you could've seen the view from our table, it was right on the edge of the cliffside, overlooking the beautiful ocean. And of course the food was incredible!
Sunday we had free day so we decided to travel about 10 minutes away to the cute neighborhood we had visited recently, Barranco. The plan was to grab lunch and then head to the beach. When the restaurant we were planning on going to wasn't open yet, we decided to explore a pretty area overlooking the ocean and of course we had to get some pictures with the incredible view

After we found a place to eat (which was a bit of a fiasco, there were lots and lots of stairs involved - long story), we then headed to the beach where we enjoyed the evening relaxing in our rented beach chairs and Ryan even went for a swim. It was a wonderfully relaxing day, and helped recharge us for our new work week!
Bright and early Monday morning we got up and headed to USIL for our final cooking class with Chef Rosie. This class was the most fun yet. The food we prepared was soooo yummy and my personal favorite was the scallops cooked in the shells.

Today was my first day at work in the department I am so familiar with - housekeeping! Since the hotel is only at 30% occupancy right now, there wasn't much to be done, so it was a relaxing day, and since I already knew how to do everything, very easy!
When we got home, Mickayla, Stephanie, and I visited our favorite place near us - Kennedy Park (aka Cat Park). This park is a haven of sorts for the many stray cats of Lima. They are adorable and friendly and incredibly photogenic. Exhibit A:

This cat in particular, loves to take selfies :)

And then we met this silly little dog who has a very cute grumpy face, which I hope makes you all laugh.

I will be finishing the week at work with housekeeping, on Saturday we go back to the orphanage Caritas Felices one more time (which by the way, we have raised over $2,000 - so incredible!!), and on Sunday we leave for Cusco. The time here has flown by!
